Technology

SPA has an MDE-approved technology plan to guide and support curriculum needs.

The following technology is available at the academy:

 Three to four computers per classroom
 Netbooks
 Two computer labs
 Scanner
 Digital Cameras
 Laptop Computers (Mobile Lab)
 Promethean Boards/projectors
 Elmos/projectors
 Flip Cameras

Software/Programs at SPA include:

 Scantron- used three times a year as an assessment in grades 2-8 to check student progress and gear instruction.
 Study Island- used in grades 2-8 throughout the year for MEAP preparation
 Curriculum Crafters
 Starfall- used in the primary grades for language arts support
 Discovery Education
 CPAA- Children’s Progress Academic Assessment
