The 7th Annual Douglas Walters Science Fair was held at Saginaw Prep on Friday, May 25th. Students worked hard on their experiments and were excited to present them to the school as well as the judges. Pictured are a few of the experiments that classes worked on as well as the individual experiments.
Middle school students attended a field study to Bay City State Park. SVSU professors and students led them on a nature walk and beach cleaning. They also collected water samples that they tested inside the SVSU Mobile STEM Lab for phosphorus and E. Coli. The students also learned about the importance of clean soil and water.
Preschool and Kindergarten classes enjoyed they day at Abele Greenhouse while there students learned about plants and how to care for them. Then students were off to LeCronier's Baby Acres where students got to pet, feed and even hold baby animals.
